Comm 112- About Me
My name is Sophia Richards. I am from Hope, North Dakota, which is about an hour away from Fargo and the same size as a postage stamp. I graduated with a whopping eight people. I didn't always live in Hope, though. I was born and raised in Plymouth, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. I love to reminisce on my childhood days in Plymouth, where I had neighbors less than two miles away, where my class had numbers in the triple digits, and where my family didn't have to drive an hour to get to a Target.
My favorite thing to do is read. It is my opinion that any book written before 1965 is far superior than those written after. I feel that modern novelists lack a sort of poetic elegance that is possessed by 18th, 19th, and 20th century writers that I adore. Victor Hugo, Leo Tolstoy, and Charles Dickens are some of my favorite writers, with my all time favorite book being Les Miserables.
I am very excited about this class and my future as a Strat Comm major. I hope this class gives me a great foundation of knowledge to build upon in the next four years of Comm classes.
