Week 11 Journal- Media Writing- Women’s Fashion

I would reach out to Marilyn because she has a lot of experience in the local fashion industry and a lot of collections to local designers through the Fargo -Moorhead Fashion Collaboration.
2. Nels Hunstad of Lost in Fargo, a local fashion brand. Phone number 701-367-1016
I would reach out to Nels because he built his fashion brand from the ground up and has a lot of experience finding out what is marketable to the local community. He designs all of his own merchandise and would be a great connection to have or a good subject to reach out to for insight or comments about local fashion.
3. Caitlin Day, owner of Willow District, a local women’s clothing store. Phone number 701-793-3677
I would get in contact with Caitlin because she owns her own store here in Fargo but also knows what styles are popular in national markets. She has had a lot of success in her business and would be a great contact.
4. Nicole Rygh, owner of Your Day By Nicole, a wedding dress and formal wear store in Downtown Fargo, phone number 701-200-1435
Nicole would be a great person to reach out to about formal wear or wedding pieces I could be writing. Although this would not be as common, the formal wear and wedding dress industries are included in Women’s fashion.
5. Maggie Barrett, president of the NDSU Fashion and Business Organization, phone number 218-591-1358
Maggie is a Fashion Design major and is always impeccably dressed, a great person to talk to about anything relating to fashion.
6. Paige Holman, manager of Leela and Lavender, a boutique in West Fargo. Email paige.l.holman@ndsu.edu
Paige also oversees the Leela and Lavender stores in Minnesota and South Dakota, and would give great perspectives on fashion trends not just in North Dakota, but in those other states as well.
7. Heather McAtee, owner of Key Bliss Boutique in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Phone number 701-370-2068
Heather would be a great person to reach out to for a story because there is a huge demand for boutiques in Grand Forks, as they do not have a lot of chain clothing stores there. She has had much success in her brand.
Chen would be a great connection because she is one of the only personal stylists in the Fargo-Moorhead area and knows the trade very well.

Micah shoots with local models and personalities and is a great resource to talk about local Fargo trends with.

Kaitlin does the photography for several small clothing stores in Fargo and has a lot of experience in the fashion industry.
